It isn’t enough for us that we “sell” you on the idea of a home remodeling project. We must really listen to what’s important to you, understand fully what type of project matters most to you, how you want to see your home and feel about it after the work is complete, and how you hope to be treated throughout the process. In addition to that we commit to keeping you informed. Part of that means basic courtesy and professionalism – but we want to go above and beyond those expectations and become an exceptional communication partner with you, from our first conversation to our last.

Some companies ride the line between what is good for you and what is fair to their bottom line, especially when it relates to something you’d never be the wiser about. At Allied Home Remodeling we don’t take any shortcuts with your trust. We believe that honesty and integrity matter more than ANY short-term gains, profit percentage point, or loss of our self-respect. We’re going to do the right thing, every time, even when you’re not looking. Because that’s when doing the right thing matters most.

Sometimes you think you just need a new coat of paint for your house, and once we inspect your house, we discover there’s an overgrown tree blocking access to one entire wall. Or there were leaks you weren’t aware of under an old roof requiring structural repairs before a new roof can be put on. Or maybe the new high-end windows you wanted are not the most energy efficient ones, which is why you wanted them in the first place. We don’t see those as opportunities to overcharge you. We want what you want: to give you the very best price for the very best quality and service. We’ll tell you when the windows you want won’t save you in the long run. We’ll point out potential complications to your project ahead of time rather than slap you with expensive upcharges out of the blue later. We’ll also give you our very best price when we quote your project the first time. Because that’s fair.

If you are replacing the shingles on your roof with new ones, or switching to a metal roof, there are simple formulas to help contractors calculate square footage of your roof and know how many metal panels or shingles to order for that size. Where that gets tricky is when a contractor isn’t experienced enough to account for “required waste,” which is what happens when part needs to be cut off and must be discarded (such as around a turret, skylight, or in a complex valley or hip), or the extra portion needed to overlap. Similar issues arise with new windows, siding, and paint. At Allied Home Remodeling our contractors are all experts in their trade, so they know exactly how much of what, to help keep costs low.

Dried paint that blisters immediately after it dries was either applied in direct sunlight on a hot surface or was applied when the wood was damp causing trapped moisture to expand the paint film. Paint that quickly cracks and looks like alligator skin often occurs when a second coat of paint is applied over a coat or primer that wasn’t yet dry. Paint that sags, droops, or appears to have “run” occurs when the application was too heavy, when outside temperatures were too cool or humidity too high, or the surface wasn’t properly prepared prior to the time of application. There are dozens and dozens of more ways we know to provide your home with expect-level care – across all our specialties – and we are methodical in eliminating or addressing them with skill.

Leaning ladders against delicate trees, spilling tools, paint, and random bits of waste material all over your yard, and playing obnoxiously loud music are surefire ways to cause damage to relationships and property – yours, ours, and those with the neighbors you live near every day. At Allied Home Remodeling our teams show up dressed in our logo jerseys, park respectfully, behave as if you and your home matter (because they do), treat your children, spouse, and community with friendliness and courtesy, and always work diligently to preserve your home and its grounds.

We’ll be that shining example of a business that dots ever i and crosses every t when it comes to accuracy, not only on costs but also on timing. If we say we’ll arrive at your home on a Tuesday at 3:00, we won’t show up at 3:30 – or fail to show up at all. Likewise, if we provide you with an expected completion date, we’ll tell you in advance of what might be a mitigating factor, such as rain that prevents paint from being skillfully applied or drying, electrical storms that prevent metal roof installations, etc. Sure, we understand that sometimes emergencies occur (think: pandemic lockdowns, hurricanes, and illnesses or car wrecks), but we will always do everything in our power to deliver on time, every time, or stay in proactive contact when we can’t.

When a plumber unclogs your sink, you usually pay the bill, and then they go, never to be heard from again unless you have an issue or need something else. We believe that’s no way to behave if building and maintaining trust is important to you. How will you ever know if you did everything right? How can you be sure there wasn’t something left undone?
